The Women’s Fund has awarded a total of $40,000 in grants to four local organizations focusing on creating a better future for women and families in Redding. The Women’s Fund is part of a global organization of Women’s Funds focusing on collaborative philanthropy.
Awards were granted to the following organizations:
FaithWorks Community Coalition – Purchase furnishings & household goods for transitional housing units for women and families, plus supporting staffing for volunteer coordinator for future furnishing efforts
Shasta Family YMCA – Support Y Club affordable afterschool programs for local families
Pathways to Housing – Support Medical Respite Program by providing recuperative care for uninsured women experiencing homelessness
Girls Inc. of Northern Sacramento Valley – Funding 2 year-long Girls Inc. programs at local schools
