The Community Foundation of the North State’s Community Arts Endowment Fund has awarded grants to five local North State arts organizations.
This fund grants to nonprofits, public agencies, and individual artists for the creation and presentation of “new artistic works”. Fields supported by these grants may include but are not limited to dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design.
Awards were granted to the following organizations:
The Art Hunger
Open Sky Gallery: Dignity & Justice Through Art
Performing Arts Society Redding
“This year’s grants illustrate the diversity of medium in which North State artists are working, including, theater, music, writing, and visual arts,” said Megan Conn, Program Officer for the Community Foundation. “There was also an emphasis this year on supporting young people as they follow their creative passions. We look forward to seeing the new works created by our regions up and coming artists.”
