The Women’s Fund Grant Awards Total $32,500 for Nonprofits

The Women’s Fund has awarded a total of $32,500 to four local organizations focusing on creating a better future for women and families in Redding. This year the organization also hosted an inaugural Women’s Fund Giving Circle in which the four grantees were invited to share their work. Pathways to Hope for Children’s Camp Hope was selected to receive the evening’s additional donations. The Women’s Fund is part of a global organization of Women’s Funds focusing on collaborative philanthropy.

Awards were granted to the following organizations:

Pathways to Housing
Support sending trauma-exposed girls to Camp HOPE – Pathways

Shasta Family YMCA
Support affordable afterschool programs for local families

Mercy Foundation North
Support Medical Safe Haven program for victims of sex-trafficking

Anderson Historical Society
Publish a book featuring local women that have addressed gender equality

“We are pleased to announce that The Women’s Fund has awarded $32,500 to four deserving organizations to help address the needs of women and their families in the Redding area,” said Women’s Fund member Susan Seamans. “This ability to combine our charitable dollars is one of the most wonderful things about The Women’s Fund – it provides supporters from all walks of life the chance to participate in big philanthropy, making a positive impact together in our community.”
