The Redding Rancheria Community Fund at the Community Foundation of the North State has
awarded $89,860 in grants to 44 organizations in Shasta and Trinity counties.
The fund, which has a special focus on serving indigenous, youth and/or rural populations has
historically also supported a diverse array of causes including fire protection and public safety, outdoor
recreation and education, arts programming, and care of elders. This cycle ’s awardees remained
diverse in their missions.
Tracy Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at the Redding Rancheria said, “We are proud to play our part
in the community. Knowing how much need exists in our region, decision making continues to be
difficult. We are dedicated to supporting worthy causes and know there will be additional opportunities
in the future.”

The Redding Rancheria Community Fund established in 2001 to support worthy causes in Shasta and
Trinity counties is one of the longest standing funds at the Community Foundation. Since the fund’s
