North State Nonprofits Bolstered by $106,990 From Rancheria Community Fund

The Redding Rancheria Community Fund of the Community Foundation of the North State is pleased to announce fall grant awards totaling $106,990 to organizations in Shasta and Trinity counties. The RRCF review panel focused on fully-funding projects to completion.

“We know how much need exists in our region and decision-making continues to be difficult,” said Tracy Edwards, Chief Executive Officer at the Redding Rancheria. “But we focused this cycle on funding projects so that nonprofits can complete their objectives with the intended positive results.”

The Rancheria Community Fund supports a variety of causes including public safety, rural communities and care of youth and elders.

“The Redding Rancheria Fund helps so many diverse causes,” says Kerry Caranci, Chief Executive Officer at Community Foundation of the North State. “When these organizations receive enough grant awards to fully fund a project it creates a deeper impact in what they can accomplish, and in turn how they can help and benefit our region.”

In 2022, the Redding Rancheria Community Fund supported 45 organizations with grants totaling $206,850. This includes 32 projects that were fully funded. The Redding Rancheria Community Fund – established in 2001 to support worthy causes in Shasta and Trinity counties – is one of the longest-standing funds at the Community Foundation. The fund has recently surpassed $4 million in grants.
