As Impact and Operations Officer, Miriam serves as the point person for the Community Foundation’s leadership initiatives including North State Giving Tuesday, On the Table, Relief Funds and other special projects. She also oversees all aspects of office and facility operations, manages our in-house technology accounts, and provides support to the CFO for accounts payable.
Miriam joined the Community Foundation of the North State in August of 2013 after working for Simpson University as Event Coordinator in the Conference Services department. Miriam’s prior experience at the University spanned seven years and fostered her strong connection to the Shasta County community. She is deeply committed to the Foundation’s mission and enjoys fulfilling her role in providing opportunities for the community.
Miriam has a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies from Simpson University. She is a Siskiyou County native and still enjoys spending time in her small hometown of Etna. She currently lives in Redding with her husband and twin daughters. They enjoy spending quality time with their extended family, swimming, and hiking.
