The Community Foundation of the North State’s Community Arts Endowment Fund has awarded grants to four local North State arts organizations. Most of these organizations were seeking funding to support performances through Shasta and Siskiyou County.
This fund grants to nonprofits, public agencies, and individual artists for the creation and presentation of “new artistic works”. Fields supported by these grants may include but are not limited to dance, theater, music, writing, sculpture, painting, photography, film, and graphic design.
Awards were granted to the following organizations:
Redding City Ballet

Shasta County Arts Council
$2,500
Siskiyou County Arts Council
$2,500
Sisson Museum – Mt. Shasta Museum Association
$2,500
“This year’s grants really supported organizations bringing public performances to Shasta and Siskiyou County,” said Justine Lehman, Program Officer for the Community Foundation. “It’s heartening to see these organizations making art for the community, that involves the community. Public performances really bring communities together.”
