Advance Redding Fund Awards Inaugural Grants For Community Performances

The Advance Redding Fund for the Performing Arts at the Community Foundation has awarded over $45,000 in its inaugural grants to two local organizations dedicated to enriching the Redding community through dynamic arts programming. The Fund was created with the goal of fostering collaboration among performing arts groups and supporting projects that bring diverse performances to the public.

“We are absolutely thrilled to serve as a conduit for grantmaking in the arts,” said Justine Lehman, Program Officer at the Community Foundation. “Both of these organizations have exciting plans to present a broad spectrum of artists and performances, ensuring that the Redding community is engaged and inspired by the arts.”

Viva Downtown will partner with Redding Roots Revival to host a series of live music performances in the heart of downtown Redding. Meanwhile, the Shasta County Arts Council is teaming up with Axiom Repertory Theatre to present a World Beats music series at the historic Old City Hall, bringing vibrant international sounds to the local stage.
