As the Program Officer, Justine manages the Foundation’s grant making program including administering the Fall and Spring grant cycles as well as working with fundholders to make individual grants from their designated funds.
Justine moved to Redding in 1991 and quickly discovered her passion working for nonprofit organizations. In 2010 she opened her own consulting firm where she provided organizational, program development, fundraising and fiscal services to local nonprofits and small businesses. After 13 years, she decided it was time for a change and she closed her business. The Program Officer position at CFNS was a perfect match for Justine’s professional background and her passion for helping others. Justine loves that she gets to expand her reach at CFNS, supporting the myriad of amazing organizations throughout the North State.
A new empty-nester, Justine loves laughing with her husband Paul and visiting their son, Jayce at college. She also enjoys sewing, playing with her dog Ellie, reading a good book, and spending quality time with her friends. One of her core beliefs is that kindness really does matter, and she strives to incorporate it into the ordinary spaces in life.
