The City of Redding Nonprofit ARPA Fund was established in 2022 to benefit nonprofits who provide substantial services within the City of Redding, and that have been negatively impacted by the pandemic. Nonprofits continue to face significant challenges due to the ongoing pandemic’s increased demand for services and changing operational needs, as well as declines in revenue sources such as donations and fees. Funding comes from the Federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).
Grant funding will be awarded to organizations that clearly demonstrate negative impact due to the pandemic from: decreased revenue (e.g., from donations and fees), increased costs (e.g., uncompensated increases in services), challenges covering payroll, rent, mortgages, or other operating costs, and general financial insecurity. Requests for tangible needs/services (like program support, technology and equipment related to ongoing pandemic effects) OR general operating support will be considered.
