Community Foundation of the North State Opens Spring 2026 Grant Fund Opportunities and Hosts Webinar

The Community Foundation of the North State (CFNS) is pleased to announce the opening of its Spring 2026 grant fund opportunities, providing nonprofit organizations across the North State with access to funding. CFNS will also host an informational webinar offering an overview of the available grant funds, eligibility requirements, and a walkthrough of the Foundation’s online grant application system. The webinar is designed for both new and returning applicants and will include time for questions.

Spring 2026 grant funding opportunities include:

• Burney Regional Community Fund – The Burney Regional Community Fund supports needs within the communities of the greater Burney area; Burney, Cassel, Fall River Mills, Hat Creek, McArthur, and Old Station – in accordance with boundaries set by the Fall River Joint Unified School District. All grant requests for this Fund must be submitted online by midnight on February 4, 2026.

• The McConnell Fund – Grants from The McConnell Fund will be awarded to Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou, Tehama, and Trinity County organizations in the areas of arts and culture, children, youth and education, community vitality, environment, health care, recreation, and social services. Grants primarily fund the purchase of equipment or building-related projects. Grant dollars are provided for small and large projects in each county. All grant requests for The McConnell Fund must be submitted online by midnight on February 25, 2026.

• Redding Rancheria Community Fund – Grants from the Redding Rancheria Community Fund will be awarded to Shasta and Trinity County organizations or general support excluding salaries and may help with things like capital improvements/renovations, equipment, programs, services, etc. All grant requests for The Redding Rancheria Community Fund must be submitted online by midnight on April 1, 2026.

Potential applicants are encouraged to join CFNS staff for a Spring Grant Opportunities Workshop, to be held via Zoom on January 27 at 10am. During the webinar, CFNS staff will highlight key funding priorities, share important application tips, and demonstrate how to successfully navigate the grant system from start to submission.
